Who We Are

We are a nonprofit association with a fulltime staff that, since mid 1995, has joined forces with local community leaders, lawyers, government agencies, and individuals with disabilities to advocate and enforce the “Americans With Disabilities Act”, also known as the ADA laws.

We, the members of the Association for Disabled Americans, take our mission very seriously and will continue our relentless struggle until the rights of individuals with disabilities are acknowledged, respected and accepted throughout the world.

We have been successful in helping enforce ADA through litigation, educating the disabled about their legal rights, and forcing local merchants to be aware of the needs of the disabled as such needs pertain to the goods and services offered by the respective merchant. Our primary message to local business owners is that accommodating the disabled is good for their businesses. Conversely, that failure to accommodate will be bad for business. The same holds true for the goods, services and programs offered by Local, State and Federal governments and agencies [Note: Discrimination by Federal
